Wiki Import

The wiki import dialog can be reached by the "Wiki Import..." menu item in the "Wiki" menu.

It is organized similar to the WikiExport dialog.

Import format
Here you choose the type of import you want. Currently only Multipage text is supported (see Multipage text format).

Source file/directory
Here you can set where the file(s) to import come from. If file or directory is needed depends on the type given in "Import format". For multipage text it is a single file.

Additional options for multipage text format

Always show import table
Shows the import table dialog always during import even if no problems arised which made it necessary.

The import table dialog

If during import a problem arises (especially if an item present in wiki would be overwritten by an imported one with same name) or if the above option was checked, the import table dialog appears. It mainly consists of a table with all items of the import file where you can choose what to do with them.

Above the table you can set the defaults for "Import" and "Version Import".

For "Import" you can choose if you want to import the items only if it wouldn't overwrite ("Yes"), not import at all ("No") or import and overwrite items already present in the database ("Overwrite").

"Version Import" allows only the choice between "Yes" and "No" if previous versions of an item that will be imported should be imported as well.

The actual table has a row for each item to import and 7 columns: If you press "OK" at the bottom of the dialog the table is checked for errors. If there are errors left the table will be updated and you can edit it further. If everything is right, the dialog is closed and the actual import is done.

There is also a "Test" button. It updates the "Error" column (and the coloring of "Name") but does never close the dialog.
